PDP paid rich tributes to Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar | KNO

Jammu, April 14 (KNO) : Peoples Democratic party has paid glowing tributes to Founding Father of Indian Constitution, Bharat Rattan, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 127th birth anniversary today.

In a function to commemorate the great contribution of Baba Saheb Ambedkar for upliftment and welfare of poor and downtrodden people in India the Party General Secretary Ved Mahajan has said Baba Saheb led millions of the oppressed to a life of self-respect, dignity and responsibility and has showed them a path which not only led to their development but also the development of India.

Mahajan said that the biggest tribute to Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb Dr. B R Ambedkar would be to realize his dreams and vision of a strong democracy to ensure equality for all. He said Dr Ambedkar fought against caste system and worked for equality among people irrespective of their caste, creed, colour and religion. Terming Dr Ambedkar a great socialist and a thinker ahead of his time.

Mahajn highlighted the contribution of architect of Indian Constitution and described him as a leader of poor who struggled for their cause. On this occasion Senior leaders including Th. Falail Singh, R K Bali, Faqir Chand Baghat, Sunil Bhat, Ashok Jogi, Nanajee Wattal, Youth Vice President Varinder Singh Sonu, Neeraj Chandhel, Girish Sharma, S K Raina, Parvesh Bali, Davinder Dogra, Chaman Angral, Sohan Singh, M L Chalgotra, Rajat Gupta, Sachin Bagaht, Bilal Ahmad Wani and others were also present and spoke to the occasion.
